New Delhi: There was sudden commotion on the Air India flight coming from Tokyo to Delhi when the health of a female passenger started deteriorating. Initially people did not understand how serious the matter was, but within a few minutes her condition started deteriorating. The crew immediately sought help after complaining of difficulty in breathing and chest pain. A doctor present in the flight came forward and took control of the situation.
It had been a long time since the flight took off. It is said that a few hours before landing the woman's health suddenly deteriorated. There seemed to be minor trouble at first, but then the situation changed rapidly and the crew had to make an announcement.
As soon as the announcement was made, Manipur's doctor Loni Lirina stood up and came forward. She was also traveling as a passenger. Another doctor also helped her and together they started handling the patient.
According to those who were nearby, the woman was not able to breathe properly. Her body was becoming weak and they were becoming nervous after seeing her condition. Later investigation also found the situation to be serious.

The doctor used the medical kit available there. Oxygen was given, some essential medicines were given and she was constantly monitored. All this had to be done within limited resources.
Within about half an hour the difference gradually started appearing. The woman's condition started becoming stable and there was relief in breathing. Due to this the rest of the people also heaved a sigh of relief.
Initially, looking at the situation, it seemed that the flight might have to be landed midway, but later due to improvement in the situation, it did not have to be done.
The flight reached Delhi on time. The woman's condition was under control. She was later airlifted for further treatment.
